Warriors win opener

I'm very surprised how well the Warriors did tonite. Biggest surprises of the night were:

1. Adonal Foyle playing like a madman. He had many monster dunks-and many blocks vs the best inside team in the league

2. Dean Olliver played like a real backup. Where's Logan and Alston? We don't need them if he plays like this every night.

3. Dunleavy gets 18 seconds of playing time. Welsch played a significant role-Dunleavy warmed the bench in front of his parents.

4. Jamison and Richardson look much more aggressive and shot much better than they did last year.

5. Musselman was fired up all night long. A little early to tell, but I think he's the right man for the job.

Good start tonite, let's hope the Warriors can play like this every night for the rest of the season.

i only caught a glimpse on the highlight reels but this is an amazing win for the warriors. you couldn't asked for a better night against one of the best teams in the leauge; one that shouldn't need warming up to get into the flow of the regular season.

this team has been overlooked all offseason but it's easy to see the huge potential on this team, at each position.

one of my favorite teams, i hope they keep it up.

Yeah!

Nice way to kick-start things. Here in Oz, we only get three games per week, but I am hanging out to see the Warriors play. Some of the best young talent in the league on this team.

Tell me, did Jamison play mostly at the 4-spot?

Thanks
Brett

HBM,

Jamison played all his time at the 3. that's why Dunleavy didnt play. Muss said that he was going to bring Mike D along slowly and last night he was going for the win. His quote was something like ...Mike's a rookie and we were going for the win.

The main differences I noticed were

There were no easy buckets for the Spurs because we actually played TEAM D.

I guess J-Rich is listening to Muss because he was driving to the bucket more than last year.

We actually won a close game! 9 and 32 last year when the game was within 5 points with 5 minutes to go. So far this year? 1 and 0. It's a good start. I dont care if the Spurs played a back to back or not. They had beaten us 18 in a row or something horrible like that.
Go Warriors! Watch out Payton, ...Here we come!

I know Troy did not score much, but he really seemed to get after it on the boards. He did a pretty good job, considering that he was going against Duncan most of the night.

He was a dominator out there. Between Murph and Foyle the Spurs looked flat and the Warriors looked like they wanted it more. Let's hope they can give that kind of effort on a consistent basis.

I really like what I saw last night. I agree with what you guys have said. I thought Foyle and Murphy were key. When Murphy is hitting from outside it opens up the middle. I am really curious to see how Fortson fits in with this high intensity defense. I am excited!!

Jam Master Jay rest in peace.
