Has been the talk among golf fans, what is your opinion on it?

It would be better if the competitors in front of him didn't choke.

They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!" Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus.

Re: Tiger's streak legit or not?
I don't know...it's such a fragmented win streak. He lost in Europe a couple of times(I think?), then there was the break in between seasons...I guess it's still legit..just not as legit as it could be.
Does that make sense?

I'll say legit as well, but.......I wouldn't say Tiger won 7 touranments in a row basically cuz he lost some non-pga events that ended his tournaments winning streak there. I think the match-play comes to mind. Though, he won 7 PGA tour events in a row and the streak still alive.
Anyone agrees?

I don't think they choked, just rookie's mistakes. They hit bad shots and Tiger got away with few bad shots of his own, the one on 16 (i think), 11 and 18 comes to mind. The south course played tough all day long - not denying that the rooks felt a bit of pressure but i don't think they choked.

Re: Tiger's streak legit or not?
It's a legit streak.
The greatest record in golf could be Byron Nelson's 11 consecutive PGA victories.
How can you punish Tiger for losing in a tournament, that wouuld NOT have counted toward his streak had he won?
It's a legit streak
It would be like saying, for example, that Duke did not go undefeated in the ACC, becuase they lost an OOC game in February.

Except for the fact that this was a proffesional tournament he lost, not some sort of exhibition; and he was playing against the worlds best on a tour that is considered pretty much equal to the PGA.
I think the consesus is that it's still legit, but not as legit as it could be.

Well the record itself was not legit anyway. The tour has never been watered down nearly as much as it was 1944 and 1945.
Byron Nelson is an all time great, that was playing against less then 20% of his contemportaries at the time.
I hope Tiger beats it, nothing agisnt Byron Nelson, but the record is an anamoly that means nothing because of the quality of competition.

Re: Tiger's streak legit or not?
Nelson's record also wasn't as legit as Tiger's...so imo they even themselves out.
