Re: why is there a golf forum?
I know, I love golf, but there's no point in it seeing as no-one else talks about it.

Awhile back me and two others posters were discussing golf frequently. After complaining and whining for a period of time the higher ups kindly caved in and gave us a golf forum. Those other two posters left and therefore the golf talk has subsequently died.
But if you look at the history of this forum there was some great discussion. It wasn't always dead.
But it isn't just the golf forum that has died over the years, it's all the other sports forums -- hockey, baseball, and football. The new management (Verticalscope) from a year ago wanted other sports discussion to flow into their other sports websites so they've buried these forums in the depths of this website.
I'll still talk golf though. How 'bout the Players? Sergio finally wins the big one.

Very nice...my biggest problem is my irons..my irons are offset and I have a tendency to hook the ball

I had that same problem as well. Recently I've tried offsetting the issue by keeping my right hand strongly over my left. Having a strong grip has actually given me a slight fade, which I never had before.
My biggest issue right now though is consistency. Haven't play much with school and work. Shots I would normally make I now manage to mess up. Hopefully some time off will help shake off the rust. Once June hits I become obsessed with golf.

Mine is a 78, but I think that was just a lucky round to be honest.
Nice to see Sergio win a big tournament, he's my favorite behind Tiger.
