I want an outside parties opinion of this situation
this is actually going on in my school, and I wanted an outsiders opinion on this situation
in August 2001, my school hired a new basketball coach, Jackson. The old coach got fired after we went 4-15 the year before after several players got kicked off the team due to the fact that they had been caught drinking. so, the first year that we hired Jackson, we finished 9-10, which isn’t bad for a team that had no seniors. That next summer, the summer of 2002, we hired a new Athletic Director, Price. The old AD retired after working there for 20 years. Things went pretty smoothy on the basketball team. We finished 14-10 in 02-03, and we won our first playoff game in 10 years. Last year, we went all the way to the sectional championship game. We were down by 2 to a heavily favored team, and with less than a minute left, we got called for 6 men on the court, and ended up loosing the game. Now, Jackson signed a 4 year contract, which means its up after this year. As you can see by our record, and by the fact that the players have nothing but positive to say for him, they would easily bring him back right? Wrong. This fall, Jackson and Price had a meeting to disucss the contract. Price showed up 20 minutes late to the meeting, and left early when his cell phone went off. 2 weeks later, Price told the school board that Jackson acted negatively towards Price during the meeting, not mentioning anything specific. It now appears that, with out Prices approval, that Jackson wont be back next season. There is a rumour that one of the assaistant basketball coaches spoke negatively to Price about Jackson because Jackson has made some radical changes.
So what do you guys think about this?
