I Need Info And Photo's on Shagari Alleyne

Few players in the country have the ability to change an entire pace of the game. Alleyne, often bespectacled, is a big-time shot blocker who will one day play for pay. For now, he can help a college as a defensive intimidator and his offense is coming along. He has good hands and if he catches it in the paint, with his condor-like wingspan, you can count the bucket. Doe's Anyone think he will make The McDonalds Team. Same goes for James Lang i would like a video of him or photos.

Profile on Alleyne

"After an excellent summer, expectations were high for Shagari, and because of this it seems he had a bad year. Nobody realizes that he is far from being the player that he will one day be. He had a few good games highlighted by an 18 point, 13 rebound, 8 block performance against one of the best team in the nations. Playing withouth a true point he did not get as many touches as he should have. Shagari can shoot around the basket with either hand but often times this year he showed if he is outside of 5 feet he can't score that is something he will have to work on in the summer with the Gauchos. He will be at Nike Camp and will be able to play against some of the best big men in the nation which will surely make him better, which could spell trouble for the city next year." - The Apple's Best Ballaz

all alleyne

What sets Shagari Alleyne apart from most HS hoop stars? In addition to his height (he's 7-2), the senior-to-be at Manhattan's Rice High can't even begin to tell you what he averaged last year. "I have no idea," he says. "But I don't pay much attention to stats, because I play on a team where we're focused on winning championships." Rice won city and state titles last year, but this one was a little different than the program's previous championships, as Rice coach Maurice Hicks scrapped his usual guard-driven attack to run the offense through Alleyne.
"It felt really good that Coach decided to run a lot of the offense through me," says Alleyne. "When I couldn't score, I passed the ball out to great perimeter players like Jason Wingate and Keydren Clark. I improved my offense and passing a lot. I still have to improve my shooting range and my ball-handling to give us a good chance at winning championships again next season." And his numbers are sure to go up in the process - whether he's aware of them or not.
