It's halftime right now, and it's been a good game so far. Green Bay led by as much as 5, then Butler led by as much as 5. They had to stop the game for about 5 minutes because the smoke alarms went off, and had to wait until those were turned off to continue. At halftime, Butler leads UWGB by 1, 25-24

I have only one thing to say right now.

THE PHOENIX BEAT BUTLER! That moves them to #1 in the league and ends Butler's 21-game winning streak at Hinkle Fieldhouse!

Here are tonight's final Horizon league scores:

UWGB over Butler, 70-63
Boston University over Cleveland State, 64-62
Youngstown State over UMKC, 73-65
Detroit over Western Illinois, 98-61
Toledo over Wright State, 103-66

It was a hard fought game by both teams, not many fouls until the end, and low turnovers for both teams. However, UWGB pulled away in the final 5 minutes to seal the win. Butler will always be a good team, but UWGB finally proved to many people out there that they are just as good, if not better, than any team in this league.

Great win for the UWGB. I didn't know what to expect but it is good for the Horizon when the Phoenix are good and from all indications it seems that they will be at least a tough out during the season.

Best part of that victory is that it came on the road in a hostile environment in Hinkle.
