What is wrong when we play on the road???!!!
I just don't understand it, it's the same all year long...we're having great games at home, beating Kings twice, Twolves twice, Lakers twice, Spurs, Sixers, etc. and not only beating them but playing great basketball, moving the ball with lots of assists, good defense, nice shooting selection...then we go on the road and we plain SUCK! No assists, no defense, turnovers all the time, ballhogging at its best, horrible shooting...I don't get it, I know it's obviously always easier and nicer play at home, with no need to travel, the crowd supporting the team but, come on, this is getting ridiculous. When we play at home we look like a top 5 team in the league, when we're on the road we look like the Nuggets or the Cavs, oh wait a minute...worse than the Cavs since they won the game.
I don't know what's wrong but if we keep playing like this on the road we can only dream of the 8th spot at the best and this team is better than that, something has to change ASAP. Thoughts?

i don't know if it is directly related to playing at home or on the road but the rockets have been very inconistent. they either play great or play terrible. we rockets fans can just hope that in the second half they are more good than bad and can get hot in the playoffs(assuming they make it). but if they keep losing to teams they should beat, they are going to find it hard to get to the playoffs.

Yeah, many times I wish they traded Mobley, he's a good player, great scorer but he plays mostly for himself and I am starting to lose my faith on him ever changing his game. As for Francis, he still has some major flaws (more than 4 turnovers per game is unacceptable for a big team PG) but he's an excellent player, and I don't know what the Rockets would do without him, I'd only trade him for a top player of course.

trading mobley would be a bad idea. the whole rockets team is just really inconsistent. i'm not really sure what the problem is but i don't think getting rid of mobley would solve it.

I think they would be much better off w/ Cat... addition by subtraction....
They already have francis...
Get a pass first PG and move francis to SG.

I am totally for that. I can imagine a PG like Andre Miller, with Francis in the SG...that sounds awesome!!!

Well in the case of Andre Miller is easy, since he's gonna be a free agent next season is just a matter of how much money you offer and how's your salary cap. If we think about other PG's in the league who aren't free agents, you have to think you're trading Cat and, in spite of all his flaws, Mobley is a consistent 20 ppg scorer so he has some good trading value, so I'd use it to try to get a first pass PG, for example I am thinking of somebody like Jamaal Tinsley.
About Francis moving, I have no idea how he would feel about that, but he seems to be adapting this game this season since Yao came, when most of people said that he would never do that, so I think he could be okay moving to the SG spot, when he could still play his all around game and taking shots but, this time, having someone next to him who can move the ball.
