Yao's injury has never been a concern on this team. People are just worried about him not playing for China this summer.

Normally I don't expect any players to come back from Microfracture surgery.
Look at these players:Allan Houston, Chris Webber, Penny Hardaway, Jamal Mashburn, Kenyon Martin. They are not as nearly good as before. However, there is guy like Jason Kidd who plays the game by passing has made a success after the surgery.
I think so far Zach Randolph is the only successful story besides Jason Kidd.
If, and only if Sura can play like Kidd, other than that I dont think he can bring anything to this team.
