Anybody know anything about this guy's game? And is there a reason why we picked him over Big Baby Davis? Yeah, I'm a biased LSU fan, but from what I've seen, Glen Davis is the better of the two. Maybe I just haven't seen enough of Landry... Somebody let me know.
Landry is a good player, he was at Purdue, playing the center position for a Purdue team that did very well in the Big Ten and had him matching up with players like Greg Oden. In the tournament last year he did well against the Florida Gators and that is why his stock was high.
He's a tenacious player (and like you I am a SEC fan first) more so than big baby... and he will eventually be a lot like Chuck. He has a nice outside shooting touch and some hops that make him less of a potential risk than Big Baby. I would suspect that he will go to the Dleague this season. He needs the development and to get some time adjusting to the NBA.
Adelman = RUNNING team
Big Baby = is he a running player?
Is Yao a running player? Yeah, I didn't think so.
If Davis turns out to be sufficiently better than Landry, then I don't think it matters whether or not his game isn't built to run.
