Re: So whats plan B?
let the Rockets try to pop Mcgrady's first round cherry so that next year when Yao comes back the focus wouldn't be on that again.

Re: So whats plan B?
Time to already start focusing on next season. We have been running a compromise of Adelman's offense this season in order to play as well as we can right now. It may be time for some experimentation and learning.
Also, give Landry, Scola, Brooks and Green a ton of minutes, and limit the veterans'. McGrady is declining steadily, Alston is over 30, and Battier has had a lot of mileage these last two seasons chasing the Kobe's etc around for 40 minutes a night.
You might think it's a bit early for that, but honestly, there's absolutely no way we're getting through the West now.

Re: So whats plan B?
Morey was on 610 this morning and it sounded like he is trying to brace rocket fans for the fact that no significant addition will be made. Lots of callers brought up guys like PJ Brown and Magloire and his response was "I don't see a guy like PJ getting alot of minutes over Deke, Hayes, Scola, and Landry."
Looks like if we get any kind of a big it will be a CBA guy just needed for size.
Side Note: He did say if Gerald Green continues to improve under the rocket assistant coaches they will take a serious look at him during the offseason.

Re: So whats plan B?
Offense wins games, defense wins championships. Ok were not going win championship but this is a pretty though and defensively talented team so we have no reason to give up yet. Now we can run like hell and release Adelman's imagination. We can still do some damage in this league so we shouldn't give up on this season. At least we can be a pain in the *** to all top teams.

Re: So whats plan B?
Does anyone know if we can pick up Jackie Butler? I know that we waived him before the start of the season, and I don't think anyone else has picked him up. We're paying him this year and next year, so can we just reclaim him? Are there league restrictions that prevent that from happening? Contract-wise, we're already paying him, but would we have to start a new contract with him to pick him back up?

I am with you on this one, but I want to see where we will be come playoff time. I would like to get a idea as to who and what we will be facing. You never know, had we grabbed those two rebounds last year, we most likely would have been in the WCF against the Spurs, who we match up greatly with.
So, anything can happen. But for the most part, I see your point, and I agree.
