The Rockets are number 5 in seeding out west, the same as last year. I think that should really say it all. If we are number 1 seed right now, then Adelman has a great case.

Because he almost ruined our season by having us run a completely illogical offense for the first two months.

"McGrady is our best passer but is an inefficient shooter, so lets make Alston the playmaker and McGrady our primary scorer. Yao is a dominant low post player who lacks the quickness to have an effective outside game, so lets demote him to second option on offense and have him play 15 feet away from the basket."

I don't see how that can be used as a criteria since whats separating us between first is only 2 games.

Or how about keeping the Rockets winning 55 games despite "Tmac, the loser" having his lowest efficiency, production, and statistics of his career?

Led a battered and bruised Rockets team to 22 wins in a row. Think about this for a minute...22 wins in a row. 2nd all time, and none of the greatest dynasties EVER have done that. This for some is a once in a lifetime event. Over 30 years ago this happened last.

When Yao and Tmac went down, everybody said the Rockets were done. Even us as Rockets fans thought so too. But he kept us winning with rotations that nobody thought would work. He did what every coach is supposed to to. Coach a team to win in the face of adversity, no matter what was thrown at us, he kept us on track. He kept us winning. He was the leader of this team...

This award has Adelman written all over it. With Phil Jackson being 2a and Sloan being 2b.

But instead, everybody has this incredible hard-on for Boston, and New Orleans (The team the hurt Rockets blew out twice)....

I have made my case, I only hope it was good enough. But I know to most, if not all... It isn't...

Can't believe I am saying this now but, he shouldn't get coach of the year just because we won 22 in a row. This is the part I can't believe, it really wasn't a strong 22 in a row because alot of the teams we played weren't at full strength.

In addition I agree with Legend, there were other coaches more deserving.
