ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- Five Indiana Pacers players and four other defendants in the brawl at the Palace of Auburn Hills have been ordered to attend a court hearing in suburban Detroit on Tuesday.

Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor Paul Walton said he would request a warrant for any defendant who fails to appear for the conference Tuesday.

James Burdick, lawyer for Pacers player Stephen Jackson, said District Judge Lisa Asadoorian's order that the defendants attend a pretrial conference is uncommon but not unprecedented.

"It's going to be a zoo," he told The Detroit News.

Burdick said some defendants might seek to move the trial out of Rochester Hills District Court because of extensive publicity.

The pretrial conference is to discuss matters such as what should be presented to the jury, evidence and witnesses, and to establish a timetable.

A 10th person charged, Bryant Jackson, faces a preliminary examination Tuesday on a felonious assault charge on accusations of tossing a chair during the Nov. 19 brawl between Indiana players and Pistons fans.

Other Pacers players facing misdemeanor charges are Ron Artest, Anthony Johnson, Stephen Jackson, David Harrison and Jermaine O'Neal. Fans charged with misdemeanors are John Green, John Ackerman, William Pawlson and David Wallace, brother of Pistons center Ben Wallace.
