Central Division Outlook
I think it would be a good idea to have a thread like this, to see where the Pacers stack up against other teams in their division, and in the Eastern Conference.
Feel free to post any game threads or post game information concerning any team in the Central Division.
Can a mod sticky this please?

Great idea. I used to think the Central would suck, but it's turned into one of the elite divisions in the entire league. Indy should be above .500, but besides that, we have three teams above .500, and a Bucks team that would be close if they had TJ Ford.

Yes, very good idea Turkish.
I'm really surprised at how the Bulls are playing right now. Cleveland is playing well without LeBron. Milwakee is playing worse than I expected, but I didn't think that they would be doing very well, I thought they would be around .500. And Detroit is playing better than I expected after the way they started the year, but at the beggining of the season, I thought they would be one of the top teams in the NBA.

Last year the Bucks overacheived IMO. They had a good start, but started losing it down the stretch last year. This year they would be probably a little closer if they had TJ Ford, as you said Pacers Fan. We really need to pass Chicago, they lost a big one against Boston the other day, so hopefully we can take advantage of that.

Chicago Schedule For February
Tue 1 @ New Jersey
Sat 5 @ Miami
Tue 8 @ Dallas
Wed 9 @ Houston
Sun 13 @ Minnesota
Tue 15 Sacramento
Wed 16 @ Toronto
Tue 22 Miami
Wed 23 @ Cleveland
Fri 25 Washington
Sat 26 @ Charlotte
With only two home games all month, and 8 games against teams over 500, Chicago is going to have a tough time staying in the playoff race. As I already mentionned, hopefully we can take advantage of this.

And we have a large number of home games in this stretch, so hopefully we can climb back over .500 and get our team back in order. We need a healthy Tinsley in this stretch. Despite JO's MVP notability, I really think Tinsley is the MVP for our team now as far as getting wins. Without him, our offense crumbles. So it is crucial that we have a healthy Tinsley in this stretch. If anyone is going to fix our chemistry and flow, it's him.

Still the Pistons, but I think we can have a similar record to the Cavs. It's really important that we move ahead of Cleveland to get homecourt advantage on them.

I know what you mean, but it's going to be tough, they are a pretty good team, they nearly won both of those games that Lebron missed.

February 4th Standings
Detroit 28 - 18
Cleveland 26 - 19 1.5 GB
Chicago 22 - 21 4.5 GB
Indiana 20 - 24 7.0 GB
Milwakee 16 - 27 10.5 GB
Well after a slow start, Detroit has really started to win some games, and they have taken the division lead over Cleveland. I can't believe that we are a whole 7 games back right now.

February 6th Standings
Detroit 28 - 19
Cleveland 27 - 19 0.5 GB
Chicago 22 - 22 4.5 GB
Indiana 22 - 24 5.5 GB
Milwakee 17 - 28 10 GB
Well after those back to back wins against Dallas and Atlanta, we are right back in the mix. Just one game behind Chicago right now. If we can just get a nice winning streak going right now we will make a push at Cleveland and Detroit.

Chicago looks to be heading for a playoff spot, hopefully they wont have a very good last half of the season. Cleveland is playing well still. Detroit is still playing okay. And Milwakee still sucks.
We really need to start winning some games, hopefully when we come back from the All-Star Break we will be energized and ready to play.
