To Iverson, Miller was role model

Of all the respected opponents against whom Allen Iverson has played in his nine seasons as a 76er, Reggie Miller, who is retiring at the end of the season, might be at the top of the list.
After Friday night's victory over the Pacers, Iverson said it was "an honor to be on the court" with Miller for his next-to-last game in Indiana.
"He's one of the greatest shooters ever to play the game," Iverson said. "He was a stand-up guy, on the court and off the court. He's one of the guys that made me want to play this game. He's a guy that a lot of kids should model themselves after.
"I just wish him well and his family well. I hope his retirement is great. I just hope he leaves his jump shot with me."

This doesn't really surprise me. Both are good at flopping, complaining to referees, have a lot of heart, and some people really hate them for their actions.

AI doesn't really care about what the media says about him. AI has that sorta bad persona from a couple years back, but he's become more of a professional over the years. I think AI was 100% sincere about the comments he made about Reggie.
