If we face the Pistons first round, we need a miracle fix
I know I've said all along that I want to go through the Pistons...but with the way this ballclub has been playing...there is no way we stand a chance against the Piston defense. If we can't beat the defenses of Orlando and Philly with our recent play and lack thereof...there's no way we can get past the Detroit defense.
Hopefully tonight the Pacers have the sense of urgency and come together to get the job done.

Re: If we face the Pistons first round, we need a miracle fix
yeah, it's true...if we lose tomorrow night any hope we had will be totally demolished. i just hope we can pull it off...it's funny how our future depends completely on one lousy game... we've been playing pretty pathetically recently so it isn't very promising... jackson and oneal really need to step it up.

Re: If we face the Pistons first round, we need a miracle fix
we have beat the pistons both times on their home court this year, while as we wont have artest and they will play harder in playoffs i still think wed stand a good chance, we should have beat them last year if it wasnt for artest and tinsley being out and playing the pistons would fire the pacers up and if we beat them id give us the confidence to beat anyone

Once again, Artest wasn't out last year.

Re: If we face the Pistons first round, we need a miracle fix
I think we have a better chance to beat the Pistons without JO than with him. It will be easy for the Pistons to guard a non-100% JO, but it would be hard for them to guard Reggie, SJ, AJ, JJ, FJ, and Croshere hitting threes.

Re: If we face the Pistons first round, we need a miracle fix
I think Oneal coming back has slowed your team while they try to get acclimated to him in a hurry. Not that your team is better without him, but they were playing more of a team game where everyone would step up. Now it looks like the role players have said" ok hes back now we dont have to work so hard"

Re: If we face the Pistons first round, we need a miracle fix
I'd like to avoid matching up with the Pacers at anytime during this post-season. Too emotional of a series, something we don't need.

Re: If we face the Pistons first round, we need a miracle fix
I don't think that we need a miracle to beat the Pistons, if we play with heart and we move the ball around there is no way that the Pistons can beat us.

They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!" Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus.

Yes there is. If the Pistons play half as good defense for an entire game as they did last year, we'll get demolished.

I must agree, If the Pistons bring their "A" game to the series? which Im sure they would considering the rivalry, I would think your team is just too outmatched, especially with Oneal still trying to get straight.

Now youre comparing apples and oranges. All teams play with injuries in the playoffs, Sheed did last year, Ben and Chauncey did the year before. I give credit where credit is due and your team has more than exceeded expectations this year, but it would be a "major" upset if the Pistons were to lose to the Pacers in the playoffs. It would require a complete Piston collapse.
