Jeff Foster with a lack of playing time
Jeff Foster only logged 9 minutes of time in game 2 against Boston. I was very surprised considering that we were getting murdered on the boards. I don't know if Carlisle doesn't think Foster can defend the Celtics front court properly, but I am just very surprised to see him only get 9 minutes.

I really don't know why Jeff hasn't been playing lately besides the fact that he CAN'T rebound well with Dale Davis in the lineup. He's an awesome rebounder, but maybe he just tired out at the end of the season and needed some rest. Scot Pollard of all people is getting more minutes than Jeff Foster and Boston doesn't even have a great low-post threat. There has to be something wrong with him. Maybe the back spasms came up again?

Yeah I started to think that maybe his back was bothering him as well. I'm really just shocked to see Pollard out there so much. We need Foster to play, I think, if we are going to make it anywhere in the playoffs.

Well Foster wasn't mentioned in the injurt report today, so I guess it must not be an issue. So I'm really not sure why he hasn't been playing. He certainly has playoff experience.

The only thing I can think of now is that it's a coaching strategy by Rick. If the Celtics view Foster as a great rebounder, they'll need to alter their game a bit for when he plays. When he doesn't play, they are slightly confused. Or he's just saving Foster for the end of the series. Let the Celtics think they can out rebound us, then whip out the feisty one!

The feisty one, I like it. Well, hopefully he starts to see some more minutes sometime, don't want him to get too rusty on the bench.

My older brother is going to grad school at Notre Dame in South Bend...so who knows. I'll probably end up staying on the east coast though. One thing is for sure, once I get out of college I will be getting the league pass every year.

Who the hell knows why Foster isn't playing more. I'm tired of the Celtics scoring on their fourth shot of the possession when we send the no-rebounding unit of Croshere and Pollard out there. I trust that Rick Carlisle has a good reason for not playing Foster, but I have no idea what it is.

Well, I just read on IndyStar that Foster's back has been bothering him, as well as his calves. Not quite sure what it is with his calf/calves that are bothering him, but he is banged up a bit. Nonetheless, when asked about it, he said that he was "fine."
