Confident????????
Would u guys feel confident to reach the finals if our team came back next season with the exact roster?????
Last year when we had a full and healthy squad (except 4 Tinsley) we lost 2 Detroit in 6 games, this year with a limping and Artest-less team we lost 2 the Pistons again in 6....
I really thought b4 the brawl we had the weapons (thanks 2 S. Jax) 2 dethrone the champs, and possibly win it all...
but I also think we should and need 2 upgrade, because even if we do finally get past Detroit, do we really stand a chance against S.A. or any other team that comes out of the west...
me being a die hard Pacer fan automatically say yes, but without being bias I have to say no because there's a couple of teams in the west that are better than us as of right now. (Spurs of course, and the Suns because they'll have more experience) other than those 2 teams no 1 else scares me.....
Hopefully we'll do a trade that will make me 100% confident in finally kissing that golden trophy.....
GO PACERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Confident????????
I think I am in the minority that feels Artest should be moved ... barring us not getting anything worthwhile back for him (i.e. Miller for Pollard)..
Tinsley is another guy we should try to trade, Bender and Croshere of course as well if any team wants to trade for a scrub that makes more than most of the benches in the NBA.
I think we have to make a few moves before we can consider ourselves ready to knock off the Pistons.
So get back to me after the draft

I think you'd prefer a team of people who are always healthy and have never committed a crime in their life, but suck.
Anyway, now with Jackson, I still feel confident. With the exception of Bender and Edwards, everyone can step in and have a good game.

I believe chemistry in a team game is much more important than throwing out 5 very talented players.
Just ask the 03-04' Lakers.

So you'd want a team similar to the Kings a few years ago. They didn't even make the Finals. At least the Lakers did.

well, you are forgetting that jermaine was playing on one leg last year, that knee injury killed any chance of winning against detroit. that was HUGE. so, we were hardly had a full and healthy squad.

Re: Confident????????
I agree with you Granger 33 Tinsley is a 50/50 chance he is not here next year. ( Side note did you all hear pacers are changing their unfiorms next year)? Dont forget David harrison showed some promise if he could learn to move his fee and not get into foul trouble. he will really open some eyes this next year.
I would like to see james and fred to see alot more minutes this year, I really think James Jones is ready to be a special player. better than Fred that is hoping we do resign him. which we probably will. i think Pollard is a movable guy as he does not have a big contract and he is know around the league as a hustle guy. just remember this is the lastyear for Bender and Croshere's contract Yes that is over 17 million off the books!
