Pacers Sign Granger to Contract
Pacers sign their No. 1 draft pick
July 7, 2005
Star report
The Indiana Pacers have signed Danny Granger, their No. 1 pick in the recent NBA draft.
Granger received a multi-year contract, the club said today, declining to reveals its terms.
Granger, a 6-8, 225-pound forward from New Mexico, was the 17th pick overall in the draft. In two seasons at New Mexico, he averaged 19.1 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
During his senior season, Granger was an AP honorable mention All-American. He was also named to the All-Mountain West Conference First Team.
Granger will participate in the Pacers’ rookie/free agent camp, which starts Sunday at Conseco Fieldhouse. He will also play on the Pacers’ team that will participate in the Minnesota Summer League July 15-19.

They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!" Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus.

So..since I'm not really a Pacer's fan, I'm wondering, whats the deal with Granger? Is he going to start, come off the bench? What are your guy's plans for him?

I fully expect Granger to fill the 6th man role for now, unless a Trade changes the line up as it is now.

Awesome stuff... Way to go Danny!

Unless Rick Carlisle turns into Isiah Thomas, then Granger will come off the bench and earn some solid minutes.
