Bonzi "would like either Detroit or Indiana "
Bonzi Wells would apparently like to play next season for either Detroit or Indiana. The Grizzlies have until July 22 to exercise a contract option, which would pay Wells $8 million for the 2005-06 season. If they don't pick up the option Wells will become an unrestricted free agent." Oregonian
Not too sure on how he would fit in here.
If he gets his head right, who knows, He reminds me of Glenn Robinson, awesome College Player shows flashes of that in his NBA career. maybe the change of scenery would do him good.

He'd be an improvement over Jones at the backup shooting guard or Granger at the bakcup small forward. That would give us tremendous shooting guard and small forward defensive depth. I'd like the signing, but it woulnd't make a huge difference.

Well, Detroit has made it clear that they want nothing to do with Bonzi (and rightfully so).
The only player I'd like back from Indiana is Artest (or maybe Tinsley), but that isn't going to happen.

You're forgetting one small thing. He's a cancer who complains about shots and minutes and refuses to play defense. Sure add him to the Pacers and watch him submarine your season. I'm sure you'd enjoy that.

Of course he'd be a perfect fit in Detroit as well, because they have absolutely nobody to backup Prince, and that screwed them.

It thought Wells was regarded as a good defender. Why would he be called that if he didn't play defense?

Walsh is too smart to bring in a cancer like Wells. Dont expect to see him in a Pacers uni anytime soon.

Re: Bonzi "would like either Detroit or Indiana "
He would have a hard time finding consistant minutes in Indiana, which would cause some locker room problems.

Re: Bonzi "would like either Detroit or Indiana "
definately don't want bonzi on the pacers. the man would not help this team. i wouldn't go so far as to say he would be a step up over jones and granger. granger hasn't even played for us yet.
and when i think of glen robinson, i wan't to puke. that guy is a major disapointment. the dude plays no defense and has no heart. i think he is a bum and a loser. bonzi is simaler in my mind.
i say let's see how many teams show interest in bonzi- i think the market will be sparse and the interest will be few and far between.
we already have a pretty full stable of guys at the spots bonzi could play for us and therefore, he would be redundant.
no, no, no, to bonzi.

Re: Bonzi "would like either Detroit or Indiana "
At first he'll accept the role but later he'll want more minutes and when he can't get them, he'll implode. He can be a good backup guard when he wants to but I'd rather have Finley.

Re: Bonzi "would like either Detroit or Indiana "
even though the position is solid, i'd rather sighn finley over bonzi. the thing that kind of worries me with finley is that he is getting up there in years.
anyway, with guys like granger and apparent interest in resighning jj, there will be no finley or bonzi.
