Morals aside, from a purely basketball perspective, Brad has to stay. You can't keep a 37 year old SG over a 26 year old all-star center.

yah i know but reggie is the heart and soul of the team. losing him could cause more damage than losing brad.

Definitely a close call. I grew up in NW Indiana, so I always saw more of the Bulls, but to me Reggie Miller is the Pacers.

I hope they'll work out a trade and Reggie won't demand anything outlandish so that he can finish up his career here.

On the other hand, maybe he just retires at the end of the year. Is that a possibility?

That's a tough one?

It would be great to keep Reggie for sentimental reasons but if the Pacers want to move ahead as a team they must keep Brad Miller.

He gives them an advantage over most of the centers in the east and you just won't be able to replace him.

If Reggie cant be signed Crazy Ron can slide back and play the 2 while Bender or Harington can move into the starting line up.

reggie wont retire and i dont see him being kept for sentimental reasons myself. i see him as the foundation of this young team that when not injured still produces as much as any other superstar. losing him could cause major problems next year

I wanna see Reggie win a championship with the Pacers. If they win it this year, I say Reggie retires. If they don't, I say Reggie stays one more year. As for Brad Miller, he's a great center. I'm positive he isn't going anywhere. Who would replace him?

That's a fair statement and I wasn't implying that Reggie isn't a good player. The problem is that he is really getting up there and I would think twice about signing him for more than 2 seasons.

Will Miller stick around if he is only offered a short term deal.

i like the point you make. i see reggie sticking around only cause no team out there will offer him more than indy. to them he is an old player at the end of his career but to us he is our valuable foundation that will help the young players more and really stabilizes the offense. i think he will sign a 2 year deal but it is just my opinion and not based on anything.
