Center Stage

With David Harrison shining in the summer league what is the depth chart at the C position going to look like. I think that Jeff Foster will get the role of starting but DD and David Harrison is a tough one. DD is a better rebounder than DH but now we see that David can score. I still have to go with JF/DD/DH. What do you guys think

Re: Center Stage

I think David Harrison could be our legit starting center for years to come. He just has to be able to stay out of foul trouble in real NBA games.

This is why it makes sense to move Dale Davis to the backup PF. The problem is that Jeff Foster is much more suited for PF than Davis, but he is likely to start at Center. With Dale becoming older, it might be better to move him to PF so he won't wear down this year. Then there's always the problem of the Dirk Nowitzki's, but then Croshere would be getting more PF minutes in those games It should look like this:

Jeff Foster/David Harrison/Scot Pollard

Re: Center Stage

PF: O'neal/Davis/Croshere
C: Foster/Harrison Pollard

I don't know if we can resign Davis though if we take J. Jones.

It's sounding like to me that Davis is ready and willing to re-sign so as we dont really low-ball him so we should be able to squeeze both into re-signing. that of course hinges if Saras reallys does decide to join the Cavs or the Pacers. Other than that I think its do-able.

You forgot Scot Pollard, who's very useful for taking elbows from Shaq.

Foster is going to get the starting role because he consistently gets 10+ rebounds a game. Davis is getting old, so he's a little slow (he always has been), but we can still use him in clutch situations when we need rebounds. He's not much of an offensive threat to the other teams though. Harrison is young and has many years to come. Unless we trade him, most likely he'll be our starting Center in a few years, if he continues to develop at the pace that he is now. If Harrison gets the playing time he deserves this year, don't be surprised if you see him start a few games next year.
