tim hardaway anyone
"We've learned Tim Hardaway has asked the Pacers for a tryout. Depending on whether they make any roster moves within the next six days, Donnie Walsh and Isiah Thomas plan to set up an audition for Hardaway after the Feb. 20 trade deadline. Hey, why not? As long as it's not with Indiana's broadcast crew. "

Do any of think this is real or just Vescey poppin' junk?

Probably real. Hardaway loves the game. That being said I dont see him being able to bring anything to the table for this team.

Why not? A vet who can run a team behind Tinsley couldn't hurt at all.

Pacers talking to T. Hardaway
By Sekou Smith

_
The Indiana Pacers, with a roster spot available for a free agent and questions in the backcourt, met with veteran NBA point guard Tim Hardaway on Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse.
"I'd say if we're going to do something we'll do it sometime in the next week," said team president Donnie Walsh, who would not confirm he had met with Hardaway.
Starting point guard Jamaal Tinsley has been erratic (30.6 percent shooting, 2.77 assists per turnover), has been pulled late in games by coach Isiah Thomas, and has missed three games since the All-Star break to be with his seriously ill mother. Back-up Erick Strickland has started six of 56 games, averaging 6.3 points and 2.7 steals.
A five-time NBA All-Star, the 36-year-old Hardaway played with Dallas and Denver last season. He is working with ESPN on NBA telecasts this season.

exactly Timmy can teach J-Tins the way of the killer-crossover and be great vet teacher. i'd rather have Jackson back though. He's better teacher (2nd all-time in assists )

Hardaway on hold
Pacers president Donnie Walsh said he's putting off consideration of signing veteran point guard Tim Hardaway.
Hardaway, 36, a five-time All-Star, has not played this season. He worked out for the Pacers on Saturday and is hoping to get back into the league.
"I want our team to settle in," Walsh said. "I just don't think it's time to do anything with our team. We don't even have all of our own players back. We're going through so many difficulties, this would be the wrong time to do something like that."
