Another injury sidelines Tinsley(UPDATE)

Quote:
The struggling Indiana Pacers now have another obstacle to overcome.
Starting point guard Jamaal Tinsley will miss at least the next three games with a partially torn right biceps muscle. Tinsley originally hurt his elbow in Tuesday's game at San Antonio.
"Jamaal plays a big part of our success," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Saturday. "We're going to have to deal with it. It's tough. We got guys that can step in. We'll re-evaluate where he's at after three games."
The earliest Tinsley could come back is next Sunday at Sacramento. The Pacers host Seattle on Monday before starting a four-game West Coast trip on Wednesday at Denver.
This is the third illness or injury Tinsley has faced this season. He missed a total of eight games because of a sinus infection and groin injury.
Tinsley's latest injury comes at a time when the Pacers have dropped four straight games and have numerous concerns.
Tinsley's injury may force Carlisle to go to with either Sarunas Jasikevicius or Anthony Johnson at point guard and Fred Jones or Stephen Jackson at shooting guard.
Carlisle has been starting either Tinsley or Johnson with Jasikevicius in the backcourt. Jasikevicius is in a five-game shooting slump and continues to look uncomfortable at shooting guard.
"We'll see," Carlisle said about the possible lineup change. "I have a couple of days to make a decision if we need to do anything with the lineup. We'll go the way we think is best."

I wonder how he managed to do that...

They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!" Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus.

Which is exactly why I am ready for us to get rid of him... I love Jamal's game... I really do... but do you guys realize that he missed 52% of last season because of little injuries and illnesses... most players can play through that kind of crap... Jamal for some reason can't...
We need a starting PG who we can count on to be there for us... for FAR more than 50% of the time...

I don't even care if he misses 100% of the regular season if we still make the playoffs. We aren't going anywhere in the playoffs without him.

Depends on what we would get in return... again... I am saying Jamal has a lot of talent... and he makes us better... but we cannot count on him to be here for games... when every slight injury or illness makes him sit out... If Jamal only plays anywhere near the same 48% of the year he played last year... look for him to be traded in the off-season...

Re: Another injury sidelines Tinsley
It may be time to deal this guy. I absolutely love Jamal on the court. But he's so rarely actually on the court over the past two years.
And if he's only going to be playing 50-60 games over the next five years he's signed for, it may be better to trade him now in a package with Artest before he becomes a bloated contract that is impossible to move. And since I doubt we're getting anything back for Artest that will give us a legitimate chance to compete with Detroit and Miami this year (or probably next), it might be time to start preparing for the future and start building around JO, Jackson and Granger and getting rid of the Bender and Croshere contracts off the salary cap so we can sign a top-level free agent in the next two to three years.
I know it's depressing to "give up" on this year, but realistically, I can't see us getting anything back for Ron Ron that will give us a legit title shot. I really thought this coulda been the year too.

Tinsley always tries to play through the pain. Sometimes I wish he wouldn't just so he could heal. He always seems to come back for 1 or 2 games before he misses 5+.
