Rick or Saras
It is clear that this coach can't use Saras as a PG Pacer's team. So who do you want in your team to stay - Saras or Rick?

Re: Rick or Saras
I'd like both to stay. Saras no doubt plays better as a PG, but I think Rick feels like he has to play both him and Johnson. Johnsons has definetly shown he deserves some playing time.

Re: Rick or Saras
Wow. Did you not read my reply to your post in the game thread, or do you just not listen to reasoning at all? Saras isn't the only player on this team. He played SG because Stephen Jackson had the flu and Freddie Jones has been a monster off the bench. When everyone is healthy, if that ever happens, Saras will be the backup PG. Unfortunately, with the way AJ's been playing, I could see Rick playing Johnson over Saras even when he sucks.
Would you rather have Saras get 8 mpg as a 3rd string PG, or 20 as a backup SG?

Re: Rick or Saras
When AJ leaves, Saras will get more playing time, and will play his normal role. It's Saras's rookie year, I definately didn't expect as much of him this year as we've seen so far.

They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!" Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus.

I'd rather see him traded to any team where he plays starting or backup PG.

We can always hope that these past few games have upped AJ's value, so he can be packaged with Ron.

Re: Rick or Saras
By no means am I a Saras fan, but I don't think he needs to leave. Rick doesn't need to leave either, but considering that according to Larry Bird head coaches should only stay with one team for 3 years I'd say Rick's days are numbered.

Pacersguy is just the Euro-hater. He's the only one here who, maybe perhaps mauzer, doesn't want Saras to be a Pacer.

Re: Rick or Saras
Mauzer... you do understand that we use him at the SG spot... because we need to... not because we want to... It's not that Rick is just stupid... and doesn't know that Saras is a PG... He has to use him there... especially at the end of a game when we need a bucket... Sarunas is our best shooter... The Pacers are loaded with PGs and a little weak at the wing positions... If there is a trade to bring us a wing player... you will see Sarunas being used more primarily at the backup point...
Sarunas is signed here for 3 years... I hope you will eventually become a Pacer fan too in that time span... The Pacers will not always be in such a hole as we are in right now...
With everything that has happened this year... it's hard to form good chemistry and team consistancy... I don't believe there has been one game yet this year... that we had EVERY player available for a game... Times are rough right now... but they will get better... PLEASE!.. Try to be patient with our (and your) Pacers... Sarunas will eventually find a steady role here... and he will flourish... I really think he will play a very big role for us next year... Once he is totally comfortable in the NBA... He will play a much bigger role for us...
I love him on this team... and look for great things in the future because he is here... He has blown me away on numerous occations this year... and I look forward to him doing that for years to come here in Indy...
I know it is prolly hard for you to become a Pacers fan right now... things aren't exactly perfect around here right now... heck... I've even seen many older Pacers fans that have turned totally against our current team... but I hope you will try to get some Pacer pride... Sarunas has it... You should too
