I, for one, want no part of Peja. And I hope this trade is dead for good. Why rent a jump-shooter for a team that's going nowhere. Even worse would be if we DID resign him next year.

So, hopefully, Artest being an a**hole yet once again and saying he'd rather not play for the Kings, this works out well for us.

By all accounts he wants to play in LA. So that means either Maggette or Odom. I'd welcome either, with Maggette still my first choice.

well, this is all a done deal now but, i thought i would chime in on a few things.
that magette deal was dead after the pacers saw corey's mri on his foot. if that was enough to scare them away, i suspect they had good reason to turn it down. he may well be on the downward spiral of his brief career and the pacers have had enough trouble with players too hurt to play- we don't need another one of those. why risk getting stuck with another talent that can't play because something just isn't right with him?.
odom was probably never offered to us to begin with. i don't think kupchak was willing to risk odom for the nutcase and i don't blame him one bit.
peja isn't the guy i was wanting but, at least he can help us this season unlike ron. now ron may have wanted to go to l.a. but that jerk has done so much damage to the franchise that stood by him for so long- it was going to be a cold day in hell before he was going to dictate where he was going to go. ron has never done anything to earn the kind of treatment that would allow him to go where he wished.
