A.J. Finds Role Frequently Changing....

Johnson finds role frequently changing

The Pacers point guard was asked if he knew what his role was with the team.

Starting point guard? Starting shooting guard? Backup point guard? Situational player?

"I don't know; every day it's a different situation," he said with a half smirk.

It was just a week ago Johnson slowly walked off the court in Atl. after being taken out of the game. Johnson's leisurely stroll caused the Pacers to pick up a technical for having six players on the court.

Then he was the only player not to play the next night in Cleveland in the Pacers' 30-point blowout loss.

Now Johnson is back starting at point guard in place of the injured Jamaal Tinsley with the possibility of keeping the position if he plays well.

"It's definitely confusing at times with what's going on," Johnson said. "I was playing well, we were playing well as a team and winning games. Then Jamaal was good enough to play and I went from starting to starting at shooting guard to not playing to starting again now.

"I guess it's really hard to be consistent when you're in and out of the lineup. It started last summer with all the hoopla when Sarunas (Jasikevicius) signed here. But when Jamaal is out, I find myself starting. Go figure. All I can do is go out and be professional."

A.J. should just feel lucky that he has gotten this much burn as a Pacer. End of story.

I agree he shouldn't talk like that, but I agree that our pg and sg back up minutes are tottally ***** ** (Thanks, Jamaal I appriciate your efford.). Damn, I hate Jamaal this team with him is lame but then he is so worthless (contract vs injures) and has skills that we cant give him up. And since we can't get rid of him our team has 3 starters at pg this situation is un bearable , not only we can newer get into rythm and reach this teams potential we have total mes with back up minutes saras, aj and Jamaal all have to play out of position sometimes (the thing aj pointed out). Also I have VERY strong feling that we are useing Jermaine as PG/PF (wich is very bad thing to do) mainly because our PG situation is worst in the league (***** **** Jamaal). I mean all our pg have different skills and qualities so inorder to have some stability Rick is useing Jermain too much. This draws Jermain even more out and results in jump shooting.
