K.G. Will Have Many Suitors...Us Included...
Quote:
Garnett will have plenty of choices
March 19, 2006
Talk about tight races. Former teammates Stephon Marbury and Kevin Garnett are in a nail-biter to see who will finish higher on the misery index this season.
As the best players on bad teams, both have a lot to complain about. Garnett, however, is garnering a lot more sympathy around the league. That's because, unlike Marbury, his problems aren't mostly self-made. And unlike Marbury, there are a lot of teams out there who would love to make Garnett happy by giving him a spot on their club.
The Timberwolves and Garnett have said they are committed to each other, but there are signs that pact is waning. A week ago, with his team in the midst of what is now an eight-game losing streak, Garnett laid into his teammates for not striking the proper attitude after a loss to the Suns.
"I don't sign anybody's checks, but you have to be committed and ready to play," said Garnett, who was the league MVP just two seasons ago when the Timberwolves posted a franchise-best mark of 58-24.
Among those rumored to be gearing up for a run at Garnett are the Bulls, Pacers, Knicks, Clippers, Warriors and Lakers. That being said, perhaps Phil Jackson wasn't being completely altruistic when he gave this assessment of watching Garnett labor on a horrible team this season.
Said Jackson: "It takes a toll on a player. I don't know what's happening entirely, but you watch a great player have a situation like that, there's a lot of sympathy."

Personally, I think the problem is our backcourt, not our frontcourt. Obviously, A.J., Jack, Freddie and Tinsley are not good enough to get it done. Sick of this year's team...

Actually, Fred and A.J. are damn good back ups... It's just Tinsley and Jackson that are the problem. I just looked and they shot 2-12 (Tinsley) and 6-17 (Jack) today. That, my friends, is a joke. Get them out of here.

Tinsley was playing great until this game.
Freddie was playing great until he partially tore a ligament in his finger.
AJ is normally solid or very good. Although, he occasionally has bad games.
All will be solved if Jermaine plays inside and we're injury-free.
Although, I would like to put together a Jackson-JO package and see if Minnesota bites.

I would pick Tinsley any time above AJ.

I've always heard that it would be J.O., Croshere and Tinsley. That is probably up in smoke after all of the injuries. And you could not have Ricky Davis and Jack on the same team. Absolutely not. That would be an 'effing disaster.

I'm not so sure after the way this year has gone. I am really starting to think that neither of them can cut it as our PG.
