Pacers Claim Orien Greene

The Pacers added point guard Orien Greene to their roster Sunday. The former Celtics reserve will join the team in Orlando, where the Pacers begin summer-league play Monday, but it is uncertain if he will play. The Pacers have 15 players on their summer-league roster.
The 6-4 Greene was a second-round pick of the Celtics in 2005 from Louisiana-Lafayette and appeared in 80 games as a rookie, averaging 15.4 minutes, 3.2 points and 1.6 assists.
He was waived after the Celtics picked up two point guards on draft night, selecting Rajon Rondo of Kentucky and acquiring Sebastian Telfair in a trade with Portland.

If I remember correctly, when we played Boston in a game this year, he was all over the glass, but missed 2-4 key free throws for them.

Haha, no. But, I seem to remember a 6'4"-6'5" guy getting 5-6 rebounds within a short amount of time.

Oh alright then. I remember Gomes going for some monster nights off of the boards I figured it was him. Oh well. Does this move mark the end of Mr. Gill?!

Well, this is helping to refresh my memory. I think Boston was shooting FT's, and Greene grabbed a rebound (maybe 2) after the FT's, and we fouled him. Then he missed both FT's. Oh well, this shows that my memory is pretty bad.

Greene is a decent 3rd string PG, I guess. He can't shoot. He's a pure PG but he has no playmaking abilities. He can't do anything really.
