Artest might actually be available
According to several informed sources, when he meets with Walsh next week, Jermaine(O'Neal) intends to demand that Artest, Tinsley and Ron Mercer be traded.

Pacer fans will now see what Austin Croshere is all about. There is no way that Jermaine, unless all he cares about his being the team stud, can do anything else but go to Texas. The Spurs will be the next dynasty. Imagine adding an all star to a team that is already the best in the league.
No 4 and no point guard may mean no playoffs. It also means that Artest will go off the deep end. He can't handle losing. Welcome to the lottery

welcome to the lottery? -- uh, i think you are being way too premature on that. you are basing pure conjecture and wishful thinking as a done deal. things will work out just fine for the pacers.

Jermaine O'Neal should not be demanding anything. He hasn't achieved anything as the leader of the Pacers. He's abusing his "power."

But why Mercer!? Artest loses his cool, okay I can see that. Tinsley doesn't give him the ball all the time, okay I can see that. But does Ron even crack Indy's rotation??

Oh yeah, and I'd rather have Tinsley, Mercer, and especially Artest, than Jermaine O'neal.

Mo Pete, Chris Jeffries, 2004 & 2005 2nd Rounders, Lindsay Hunter (cap relief in 2004), and Alvin Williams (the clutch player you guys covet need) FOR Ron Artest , Ron Mercer, and Jamaal Tinsley
I proposed this trade on the Raptors board. What do you guys think?
