Jamaal Tinsley
What do you guys think of him? I think he has potential to be a very good player and we should keep him. I know right now he is inconsistent, but he is young, give him a break. He is a rare PG in the league that has true PG skills, he needs to work on his shot though, but if he gets a better work ethic and works on his shot, he could be real good.

he is another mark jackson in the making. great passer, potentially decent shot, will never be fast. he'll be good, but his potential is limited.

I like his exciting passes and his tempo and his shot improved in the playoffs. The only thing I don't like about him is his pass selection which sometimes results in turnovers.

He could be a top assist man for years to come. I think next year will realy be the telling year as to whats to come with Tinsley.

All point guards are inconsistent in the first 2-3 years. Give him some time. He'll only be a decent shooter at best, but he can still lead a team very well in the future if he keeps improving. I've loved Mel-Mel's game since he was at Iowa St. and will always keep defending his case against anyone he feels he should be let go.

thats what I was thinking about the inconsistency, I know he hasn't been stellar, but he's young and has shown flashes of greatness, didn't he have 2 triple doubles in 2002? I remember one was like 30 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds

Yep. He was 3rd in the league in triple double his rookie year. Thats a big achievement if you ask me.

I just got back into basketball last season and I put it on NBA tv and saw he had a triple double and didn't know who he was yet and I was like "Man that guy is good" so I watched some Pacers games and became a fan, if it weren't for Tinsley I probably would have never ended up being a Pacers fan.

Yea, I started being a big time basketball fan in the 2000 year. I realy wanted Tinsley to go to a team I liked and after a couple trades he landed on my favorite team, hes been one of my favorites since then. Luckily hes had more luck than my favorite point from the year before, Mateen Cleaves.

Yea, he was a star in NCAA. Too bad hes buried so deep on the Kings bench they should just call him MIA.

lol, with the way guards work in this league he could show up as a star on a different team that actually needs him in a few years, I'm worried if we trade Tinsley it could come back to haunt us, but that doesn't worry me as much as the thought of what Bender could become on another team.
