Pacers work to remain in hunt
Quote:
Seven players scoring in double figures, including a career-high 32 points from Danny Granger.
Fifty-five percent accuracy from the league's worst shooting team, including 64 percent in the second half.
A 4-of-18 horror show from leading scorer Jermaine O'Neal, but 36-of-55 marksmanship (65 percent) from everyone else.
Stellar play from point guards Keith McLeod and Darrell Armstrong, who filled in for injured starter Jamaal Tinsley and combined for 27 points on 11-of-20 shooting, 11 assists and just three turnovers.

Especially if they continue to re-light the spark that ignited Friday's comeback from a 10-point third-quarter deficit.
Charlotte led 61-51 less than a minute into the second half.
But the Pacers scored 22 points in the next 61/2 minutes to tie the score, then put together 6-0 runs to close the third period and open the fourth for a 10-point lead.
"It was defense," said rookie Shawne Williams, who scored 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting. "Every time we came to the huddle, (assistant coach Chuck Person and Armstrong) were saying 'It ain't over.' We just kept playing, kept playing and believed in the system and came out with the win."

"Recently I've been trying to be more aggressive taking the ball to the goal," he said. "Before, I was settling for jump shots. Now I'm trying to have both parts of my game going, shooting and driving.
"It's weird; when you get a few layups, your jump shot falls better. I finally realized that."
Granger's play kept him on the court for a team-high 42 minutes, despite coach Rick Carlisle's best-laid plans.
"I like to rest guys at least once a half, but I couldn't get him out of the game," Carlisle said. "The shot-making was there, the activity was there offensively and he made key stops on Gerald Wallace down the stretch.
"It was one of the few times this year we had played him extensive minutes at (power forward). It was a necessity because they play small."
