No Daniels please, he is the type of player we can use.

Mike Miller isn't exactly a player we can't use. He gives more of a scoring punch than Daniels. He could easily average 20 a game for a team. He isn't the best defender, admittedly, but I really think he would fit in. Yes he is a bit redundant with Dunleavy (game and name wise), but he is a better spot up shooter and overall scorer. He is the sniper shooter this team needs right now.

Re: Trade Rumor: Ike Diogu, Marquis Daniels for Mike Miller
I think I read from a Memphis fan that the reason he isn't work out in Memphis is becausehe doesn't play Small Forward well, and that he is more comfortable at shooting guard. That works out for us, because that is where he would have to play if he starts. Again this is just a possibility, there are no signs of it being official. But i'm really rooting for this to go through. Like it or not Daniels just doesn't bring energy when he plays, and he likes to hold the ball and won't pass unless there is absolutely no chance of him scoring, something we don't need on this team. We need pass-willing players (the reason Diener starts) only. Mike Miller isn't exactly selfish, and if I remember right, one of his knocks is that he likes to spot up instead of creating his own shots. Although, Daniels is almost our only player than CAN create his own shot..
PS, hallelujah if we can get rid of Daniels.. his hairdos scare me every time.

When he's healthy, yes, but we need to start losing all these guys who have knee problems. Mike Miller's perfect.

I agree with Pacers fan.. This deal is perfect for us, maybe they'll throw in a second rounder to help the blow of losing Ike? We could get a player like Ike in the second round, like the Jazz and T'Wolves did by getting Millsap and Smith a couple years back.

Man we really suck when Mike Miller is seen as a player that can quote "provide the scoring punch we need"
I guess he's perfect for what we do, he can go 5 of 20 from the field (3 of 17 from 3) and then when he "defends" on the perimeter he can give up uncontested layups and open looks from 16 feet for the easy J.
This team is terrible and in no way improving anytime soon.. why can't we just accept that and tank the damn season?

My role just isn’t to score, I can do a lot of other things to affect the game. A lot of players, if they’re not scoring, they’re not really making their presence known on the court. I can do that."

He can provide that scoring. Heck, when JO gets back, they would be a perfect fit together. When you have 4guys on your team that can score 20 each consistently, you got a good team. JO can, Miller can (his percentages on the season are amazing), Dunleavy can, Granger can, and there are other capable players on this team also (a healthy Tinsley, even though I hate him), and even Troy Murphy can score big occasionally. Sorry, but Daniels is nowhere near the player Mike Miller is, and Diogu is a small price for the upgrade.

I thought I'd choose just one smiley, but all of them apply to the above trade. That makes no sense at all. We'd be trading bad contracts for bad contracts, losing talent, and losing Shawne Williams.
