Donnie Walsh is leaving the Pacers
It's kinda of sad really, he's been here so long. Bird will take over full time.

If one guy could turn the knicks around, I beleive Donnie Walsh could do it.

Re: Donnie Walsh is leaving the Pacers
Great. Our only hope of turning this franchise around in Donnie Walsh leaves the Pacers after many rumors saying that Donnie was staying in Indy. Now, we are stuck with that **** Larry Bird, who ****ed up the team majorly last year. The Simons made a ******* move here. Just goes to show that you actually need to follow your team to know what went wrong and who caused it.
If Bird is givn Donnie's full job, then we are screwed.
****.

Re: Donnie Walsh is leaving the Pacers
Lets not kid ourselves. Bird has made some mistakes (James White), but most of this is the players faults. They put the management in these sitautions. Tinsley seems to be the root of the problem,so whatever it takes to get rid of him needs to be done. I'll be interested in seeing where the team goes from here with Bird in complete control.

Re: Donnie Walsh is leaving the Pacers
Very sad to see Walsh leaving but he did everything he could to win us a championship and he came damn close. There is just nothing left that he could do. I think he is making the right decision leaving the franchise but man am I going to miss him. Very high basketball IQ and all around great general manager. Im sure the players have nothing but respect for the guy.

Wow, well he's already slated to accept job with the Knicks. It's being reported on ESPNEWS.

There has been a rumour about him going there for quite some time now. That job will definitely keep him busy.

Re: Donnie Walsh is leaving the Pacers
^^Yea you're right. It's been rumored that he was going to take over Isiah's job. I'm surprised it happened so quick after the resigning. It's sad. But there's gonna be ALOT of pressure on him to turn that organization around quickly.

Do you want to go as a Pacer legend to the Knicks?

Haha yeah I was thinking that too. As long as Reggie never has anything to do with that organization it's all good.

Re: Donnie Walsh is leaving the Pacers
I really wish we were firing Bird also. I don't know who we'd hire after that, but anyone is better than Bird.
