Travis Diener's a bench warmer as well. Kareem's started some games for this pathetic team, too.
He's been more than advertised. Much more. The defense wasn't even advertised. It was a bonus. Rush's shot has been much better than I ever thought it would be, and his ability to drive with the ball has even been good. He's exceeded every expectation in every area of the game since the season began. He's an easy player to like.
Diener is the best point guard we have right now. Stats may not show it, but when he is in we are better than when we are with Tinsley or Murray. We are faster, we hustle more, and he doesn't shoot as much as Murray and he also isn't a constant injury/off court problem that Tinsley is.
I had bigger expectations from Rush. His three is non existant (he might shoot a good %, but he only hits one like every three games now) and he does not drive that much.
I agree Rush is an easy player to like...but Tinsley? I think he's a hard guy to like.

We won with Tinsley starting, we lost terribly with Diener and Owens starting, and now we're winning again with Flip Murray starting. The only cool thing about Diener is his assist/turnover ratio. I mean, it's fun to watch him run around the court, but he doesn't do anything when he gets in the lane but dribble back out again.

He hasn't been playing much. During that stretch when he was starting, he had periods of being our best player. Like the game I went to against GS, he completely took over the 4th quarter, driving hitting 3's, rebounding, and playing great defense. When he doesn't have the green light with Granger and Dunleavy in the lineup with O'Neal, all he can do is spot shoot, and when he isn't in the flow of the game, he doesn't shoot well.

I don't dislike Rush either, I just don't see how he could be someones favorite Pacer, but I'm over that now, he was one of my favorites at one time too. I do dislike Tinsley though, and I can't see how any Pacers fans would like him let alone him being their favorite.

We aren't winning with Murray on the floor. If you look at the +/- with him starting, he is always on the minus side, and most of the time Diener is on the plus. I just think that the team has played better lately and it is not a result of signing Flip Shot Happy Murray.
With Rush, he was a very good player at one point in the season, but there has to be a reason he has fallen out of the rotation.

Yeh, but +/- doesn't always tell who the better player is, especially in this offense. Our PG's don't really have the ball that much, so you can't say that their play is directly proportional to our team's.

And that makes him unacceptable to be someone's favorite Pacer? Eddie Gill, Orien Greene, and Jamison Brewer were all my favorite Pacers at one point. I'm sure we've had some Bruno Sundov and Haywoode Workman fans as well.
