is it just me or.....
am i the only one who feels bender will never really pan out. i don't really think so but, i was wondering if anyone else is as hopeful as i am that the expansion charlotte team takes him off our hands and payroll. i seriously question this guy's bodily durability. he missed like half of last season and now this season is like nearly 1/4 of the way thru and even if he was cleared to play tonight, it would still be around mid-late january before this guy gets into game shape. not to mention, i have no idea how or where he would fit into the lineup now. he has fallen very far behind the rest of the team in conditioning and how to play with the new style. perhaps he will be able to come back soon and prove me wrong but, i doubt it.

Although I've always been optimistic about him, deep down I have felt for a while now that he doesn't have enough muscle mass to last him a whole season. Imagine if he would have took that elbow from Malone that Nash did. It probably would have killed him.

while burning the midnight oil studying for exams i decided to look at the site and realized that i never saw the malon elbow of nash. it got malone suspended for a game i think. yeh, given bender's naturaly anorexic frame, it probably would have torn his head right off.

I agree that Bender is frail for his height, but Im a little confused on how you guys think it would make him weaker than a guy as small as Steve Nash.

Let's wait until seasons end until we post something like this.
He's been injured. Larry Bird always talks high of him. Wait until he plays, he's stil VERY young. He could still be a star player and from the reports i read, Pacers expect him to battle Harrington for the 6th man award this season.

I think a problem is his position. Pacers want him to be the SG of the future. I honestly don't see him at SG but at SF. And that's where we have a problem..... Harrington and Artest.
I'd love to deal Scott Pollard and Bender to Seattle for a pick/young player and Brent Barry and then Barry could be our SG of the future.

Artest should be our SG of the future. He's practically a all-star.
