Steven A. Smith reports for ESPN that Ron Artest will have surgery and will be out a while. The surgery is on his thumb. It seems he might be gone a while, i'd assume 4-6 weeks.

Oh man that is really horrible. I like Artest. Not as much as KMart, but they bring more then their game to the court but some excitement.

It looks like Harrington and our bench are really going to have to step it up. It's good though that Ron's having surgery now to fix the problem before it effects us in the playoffs.
