When you have players over 30, you either trade for a downgrade to get younger or you ride it out. Upgrading isn't an option if the same player is being paid a lot unless you get lucky with a rape trade.

As I just pointed out in the other thread, your facts are off. Chris Bosh is coming off the books this upcoming offseason, Brandan Wright is coming off the books as well. That's 17+ million in expiring right there, and then Henson has a team option in year 4 of his contract which was signed in '19, little too distracted to do the math but that's either this upcoming offseason or the offseason after that...which would be the same offseason Blake is a 22 million expiring.

My only long term contracts are Caramel Love, CJ Strickland, and Frank Weiland.

I know I'm not the easiest guy to trade with, but I can't even get a feeler. I don't even mind the "I'm interested in..." PM. Those are necessary sometimes, peoples trade blocks are so vague and nondescript yet people are completely narrow minded about what they want in return. Admittedly though, most (maybe the majority even) of any frustration I'm having with the lack of trade offers is the fault of FRSL, but the combo (as well as whiffing on UFA) got me flustered for a minute.

It's pretty hilarious though that everybody complained about me scamming MemphisX because of the talent differential, yet I haven't gotten a single inquiry about any of those players except Cousins (who I moved for Strickland) for what...two or three seasons now? It's whatever, is what it is.

I've made a billion trades too, doesn't mean we aren't hard to deal with at times.

I guess I was wrong about some of your contracts. Still the point stands, the guys you are offering are all old except for Strickland.

Which means most of the guys on your block are useless to most of the teams that not serious contenders by default given that the 76ers are heavy favorites. So there's less than 10 teams that have any reason to talk about the guys you are offering assuming they are good fits. You cut out the good fits and maybe 5 teams that have any reason to talk to you. Even then, what you are offering isn't giving anyone sufficient an edge.

End of the day, no one out there is motivated to offer you anything you for most of the players you are making available. So you can offer something people are interested in or offer to overpay for something you specifically want.

Maybe a better analogy is a bar.

If you are hot, you can afford to be lazy and have people come to you.

If you are an average looking hoe you have to be more proactive about what you want or put out if you want attention.

Love and Weiland would be players that you can wait for people to come to you.

Most of the Hawks are like over 30 women that used to be hot before they gained weight and waited to long to get married. Now they want kids and a husband, but all the guys that are willing to get married have no motivation to go after them in particular when they they rather chase something better. So the option is either to suck it up or put out easily until you luck into something. But probably you'll have to settle and if you don't settle you just have shittier options as time passes by.

No offense to Aero, because he's been one of the better GM's to play in the KVBL period, but I never will consider his team the "heavy favorite" to win a championship (not talking about regular season record) until I see him even represent the East in the Finals. Too many massive upsets in that franchises history to take them seriously. I mean, if Brian was winning 70 games in the regular season and losing in the 1st round nobody would take him seriously.

It's the beginning of the season, who knows what things are going to look like come playoff time. For all we know, Xerxes might end up being an MVP candidate and the Celtics end up being unstoppable. Caramel Love just had some INCREDIBLE bumps this offseason (Weiland got better too), and none of the older guys you keep bad mouthing regressed. Tulker/Maynard is a legendary frontcourt. Cavaliers are going to be players again this year, that team looks really good. Lots of games to play before anything is even close to decided.

If Xerxes can play 35-38 minutes a night he might be an MVP candidate, not to mention Eddy Sweet is a stud. You should be a playoff team, unless Xerxes fouls out in 26 minutes or something silly like that.
