Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
Eastern Conference
1. Philadelphia 76ers 2. Atlanta Hawks 3. Toronto Raptors 4. Cleveland Cavaliers 5. Washington Bullets 6. New Jersey Nets 7. Detroit Pistons 8. Boston Celtics ![]() Western Conference 1. Houston Rockets 2. OKC Thunder 3. Denver Nuggets 4. Vancouver Lions 5. San Antonio Spurs 6. Portland Blazers 7. Los Angeles Lakers 8. New Orleans Hornets MVP - Caramel Love DPOY - Cameron Clothier ROY - Xerxes Khoroushi/Ben Cashman Executive of the YR - Dre KVBL EC Champion - Atlanta Hawks KVBL WC Champion - Houston Rockets KVBL Champions - Atlanta Hawks The Washington Bullets are going to surprise a lot of people this year. As are the Vancouver Lions. Dre is my choice for GM of the year. Drafting Cashman was HUGE. Having a legit PG like that can improve a team significantly. With Rose at SG next to him, he has a big time scoring threat. Keeping Russell and T-Will to play the 3 and 4 is great. He has a decent big man rotation in Garcia, Uzelli, Blount. Also Larsgaard, Sampson, and Marsh off the bench is great. The Lions got the steal of the draft in Mickelbaum. Very solid pick for that late, and I think he should start from day one. With Fookes and Smith coming back he's set on the wings. Picking up Cousins was just what he needed. He should provide some much needed frontcourt scoring. And he's really deep in the frontcourt with Chaz, Jacobs, and Andrews. Ohman should provide quality minutes off the bench, as will Snow and Huggins. Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
Oh yea and just to add, my Western Conference rankings are all over the place and may be terrible. I just don't know much about Western teams because the conference is so damn boring. Don't take offense to your placement in the rankings, I'm sure it'll be completely different.

You benched Rhodes for a "sim or two" to get a better pick no? Just because he was injured the sim before doesn't change the fact that you didn't change your DC back when he was healthy, and you had every opportunity to do so. The only reason you changed it is when you got called out. Doing it for a "sim or two" does not change the fact that you still benched one of your best players to try to get a higher pick. I'm not talking about right or wrong here, I'm saying that you are a complete hypocrite because you are bringing a big fuss about something that you yourself tried to do. Just because you did it halfway and backed out doesn't change the fact that you did it yourself. Stop being a hypocrite, you of all people have no right to say anything about this matter.

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
To SCDN:
I actually originally had you slotted as the eighth seed but then I remembered the Warriors and I just like that team better than yours. Porter/Higgins/Jaxon/Dre/Sagan(Or Lowell) > Whatever the hell your lineup is. ![]() Tried to come up with a lineup for you but there's a lot of options with your team. None better than the Warriors lineup. And honestly, I'd put the Warriors even higher if I re-did my rankings. At least at #6. |

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
Also I love how we're expected to have a flawless track record when it comes to shit like this when it comes to the internet. People make mistakes, it doesn't change ANYTHING about what I'm saying. I have every right to talk about what I'm talking about. Just like you have every right to call me a hypocrite.
You're still not deserving of Executive of the Year award which was my original point and really the only thing I came in here to say. |

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
Warriors traded Sagan for Conway too. I think Warriors will make the playoffs, but same with me.

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
Hmm, forget they traded Sagan for Conway. I hate that deal for them. Time to move them back down in my rankings. One of their strengths was Dre-Sagan-Lowell in the frontcourt. I don't see how Conway improves their team much really.

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
i think folks drastically underestimate depth when it comes to reg season, ultimately most of which doesnt matter come postseason.....
one injury to a starter in a sim and you're under .500 that largely leads to the variation in standings IMO, but not nec playoff advancement.

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
Damn SCDN. I apologize. I was looking at your team page, instead of your sig. Didn't take into account the Kessell trade, or Stallings signing.
I rearranged my standings to factor all that in. I like your team A LOT more after taking into account the last two moves. |

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
So the issue is whether it's right or wrong to bench your best players to tank...
my answer is it's wrong to do that, and I already said that. I already explained my situation and how it happened. The result of it is wrong, but I can tell you that someone tanking a "little" is the exact same as someone tanking "alot". Me not setting a DC is the extent of my "tanking", and I guess it worked out for me that the sim decided to bench both mcallister and bernard. If my team did well and made it to the playoffs, I would have to live with that, but in this case the opposite happened which just turned out that my team got a better pick, so I guess I just got "lucky" In my first season that I switched to the Timberwolves I wasn't here for the season, and I didn't get to set a DC or make any moves, that year I finished 9th in the western conference and didn't get a high pick. In that case I was "unlucky". I'm not going to apologize or feel bad for the way the auto DC happened and that my team did bad, Even though blatant tanking is wrong, people like you and others try to do it all the time. So I guess in this situation I did get lucky that my auto DC turned out to be a tanking DC. I will never take you seriously for anything you say about tanking though because you are a tanker yourself. So, you can try to talk about the "truth" of the matter or w/e wording you use, but in the end you are a hypocrite and I will not take anything you say seriously.

Re: KVBL 3.0 Season 7 Predictions
Anything can be called "tanking" if all it means is having your team not play at its full potential. It's about principle but the tanking itself is also not black and white. I actually had a dsicussion about this with Airplane too and he made me realize this.
![]() You benching your starters for a whole season is on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to MemphisX playing his best players 24 minutes a game. Enjoy your Executive of the Year award, maybe I'll go on vacation too in a few seasons when I feel the time is right.
