Meanwhile, this is the first year in 3.0 where the Hawks are not in the playoffs. The Jazz had a 9 year run of making the playoffs end this season. Hornets are in after missing for six years. Magic in for 2nd time after missing seven years in a row. Pistons and Rockets broke a five year drought. 7th straight playoff appearance for Sonics, 9th for Lakers.
