I was too busy figuring out what conference SLU was playing in going forward.

Akers > Grice if you need blocks plus akers is already signed somewhat reasonably...

obviously without knowing the details for both sides.... I personally like Akers more than Grice

And I prefer Grice with my team, he fits much better with what I have. His and Banks D and offensive rebounding will be invaluable to Opalevs.

Grice will sign a similar deal soon enough.

Grice + Banks is an awesome combo though. Same draft, same unmemorable names and both have stout defense. It's a nice big man duo.

Trading Akers for Grice to attempt to properly build around Opalevs doesnt nec seem ideal.

I know you're banking on some progressions to opalevs and while he draws fouls and shoots the 3 solidly, his 1-9s are SO much lower than theyd need to be for a guy shooting 100/45.

I think you're trying to force Opalevs, which may be a failed experiment from the beginning.

FWIW Grice + Banks with their 1-9s on D IS really sweet...

trying to build around Opalevs.... not so sweet.

I'm not forcing anything. If Opalevs doesn't work out this year and doesn't progress (which he will we know that) next offseason I have Vargas coming in to be the franchise type scorer.

Next year I expect to win. This year I'm just trying to have a little fun with a guy that has some of the most interesting ratings in the game.
