A season that looked so promising going into it to end this way is heart breaking. "Not really the KVBL has always been his main goal he would never do anything that would jeopardizes him getting there" - Virginia Jr Guard Tyler Simmons, on Trevor Hill's decision to sit out.

Early today Soph. Trevor Hill announced that he planned to drop out and declare for the KVBL draft.

Hill's time a Cal has been a roller coaster with unfathomable highs and lows with him going from a dynamic freshman to a coach killer and a quitter. As a freshman Hill averaged 13.5 PPG 3 APG and 2 SPG in 28.3 MPG playing the role of Cal's sixth man that played lockdown defense.

"I had a grin on my face that I thought was never going to go away but it did" - Former Cal head coach Richard Pitino, on when he heard Hill was coming back for his sophomore season

Cal started the year off great going 5-0 being lead by what looked like the clear cut Wooden Award winner in Hill who was averaging 35.6 PPG. Sadly the season went to hell after that when teams started to throw double and triple teams at Hill and he struggle averaging 10 TOPG over 15 game stretch in which Cal went 2-8. This lead to an intense argument between Hill and Coach Pitino during practice that resulted in a physical altercation that cost Pitino his job.

After Pitino's firing Hill's turnovers went down but the team did not improve going 3-14 the rest of the way.
