Re: St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Strangely enough, I don't hate this team right now. It's not ideal, but there are a lot of interesting toys to play with.
That said, I reserve the right to hate them at any time and for any reason.

Re: St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Special Edition: The Warriors Last Season Preview
In a move that looked unthinkable, the Warriors are playing as a lame-duck franchise in East St. Louis, IL. A franchise who has been relatively stable for the last decade or so is in flux in many, many ways. Coach Leon Porter returns to the sidelines, where he has guided the Warriors to two Finals appearance, winning one title in 2023 over Brooklyn. Gone are the holdovers from the Finals run of two years ago (except Dre Byers and Jericho), and in is an impressive collection of depth that may or may not be enough to make the Warriors relevant again. At the Point, it's Team Damian against Team Miyagi in St. Louis. Two very different players who bring different skill sets to the table. Huber is a versatile swingman type who could be among the league's top assist men with a full complement of playing time. Miyagi is a more traditional point who provides very good defense. "I'm not sure who the 'starter' is going to be, but both Damian and Ryan will play similar minutes at the point. Damian, we can move to some other spots...and we may well do that to get his passing and quickness on the floor with Ryan. At the shooting guard spot, Logan Heastie "returns". Heastie was traded to the Warriors for fan favorite and captain Jaxon Blake, then waived during the option period. Heastie took roughly half his previous contract to return to St. Louis, where he never actually played. "Logan is a great player who adds a lot to the team. He's got to be our second best player all year if we want to get anywhere. He's still a solid shooter who can play decent defense. His shooting will be very important to our chances this year." Griffin DeAngelis will back up Heastie. At small forward, Kareem Ferguson takes over. "Kareem can be a star. He can defend, score, and do a little bit of everything well." Ferguson comes over from New Orleans, where he had a huge game in Gary's first win as owner of the franchise. Kristopher Karambo will back up Ferguson. At power forward, fan favorite Kyle Schultze starts. "Kyle has become one of the better complementary big men in the game. He is efficient, and really does a lot of dirty work under the boards. He's a key guy for us because he's learning to limit his physical play and stay on the floor more." At center, the great Dre Byers will again take the floor. Named captain of the Warriors after Jaxon Blake's departure, he is the face of the franchise. Byers went from just OMG good to OMFG good in the last 2 seasons, upping his scoring average by 5 (!) points a game, up to a career high of 26.2 two seasons ago. "What more can you say about probably the best post player in the league? He brings it every night, he doesn't foul much, and he is always the #1 guy teams are looking to stop. This is Dre's team all the way now, and we expect him to just keep getting better (if that's possible)." Kwon Hale and Derrick Favors will share backup minutes down low for the Warriors, with the bulk of time going to Kwon Hale.
