Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
Seacrest did this deal so that he could get Cheikh Senghor, but this works out pretty okay. I don't know that I agree with Jay giving up a 1st round pick next year to get Webb who's damn near a lateral move from Tyler to start with. I'd have done my Cheikh trade for either of them.

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
Webb is a definate offensive upgrade, and he fouls slightly less which allows him to play more. Also, I'm over the hard cap now so I wont be able to scout anyone, and I'm hoping that pick end up in the 26-28 range.
I felt like if I was making the fisher move, I might as well make this move....I'm pretty much banking on winning a title this year

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
Much better is a gross overstatement. They are both low volume on offense, Webb takes about 2 shots per game more and a bit more in the FTA department, but the scoring difference has to do with team usage more than player usage, realistically.

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
the difference in free throw usage is huge, Webb takes twice as many freethrows and shoots at a clip 40% higher then tyler.
that itself makes webb much better offensively...

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
The volume is so low for both of them that it's barely a factor when you consider the fact that Tyler has better rebounding and shotblocking. The real difference between the two is foul rate, and again... that's really not worth a first round pick, especially if the upcoming drafts look like this one where there are C+ guys all over the place late in the 1st.
Bryan Tyler Expected Stats: 5.7 PPG (FG%: 59%), 11 RPG, 1.3 APG, 0.95 SPG, 2.87 BPG, 1.41 TO/g Darren Webb Expected Stats: 10.98 PPG (FG%: 58%), 9.9 RPG, 1.2 APG, 0.63 SPG, 2.62 BPG, 1.49 TO/g There's a bit of a scoring difference (either can be put at +2 OI so realistically it's more like 8-9 PPG for Ty and 13-14 for Webb, depending on the team), but Tyler has an edge on him in pretty much every other category.

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
imo the fact that Webb can play a few minutes per game more is huge for me. Also, I wasn't worried about the difference in rebounding since I have a pretty strong rebounding team, in the end his offensive contributions and fewer fouls is what did it for me.
Also, not having scouting makes it alot easier for me to give up that pick...at this point Im pretty much doing anything I can to try to win a title, if the cost of a slight upgrade is a late 1st then it's something I have to do
