Re: Trade: Memphis and Oklahoma City
This is ****ing brutal.
So you send the two best players in the deal AND a 1st round pick? GTFO. I send a 25ppg scorer for a rookie and I get chewed up like a mother****er. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

Re: Trade: Memphis and Oklahoma City
Goulet tells him in the podcast to not trade 1sts away, and then Goulet asks for one in the trade. You didn't stay classy, Oklahoma. Hopefully Mingwei progresses nicely.

Re: Trade: Memphis and Oklahoma City
Bishop can't be extended
The Ty will contract is HUGE. Without the sonics pick there's no reason for me to trade Mingwei, a very nice spec for a regressed rental and Ty Wills contract. In Essense I gave him Mingwei for the pick he traded to PP. how's that bad? Yes bishops included but as a rental what's he gonna get for him? He gets full cap relief here. What's worse at this point is the Mikhailov trade. You can obviously argue he'd get expirings plus a late 1st for bishop from some desperate but does he get a 19 year old with talent like Mingwei for Ty will from ANYONE else? Mingwei is the most valuable piece changing hands here IMO largely due to Ty Wills contract.

Re: Trade: Memphis and Oklahoma City
Ty Wills contract has team options this year and next. It's not a bad contract at all.
I wonder if Greg Oden will lend me Caramel Love for the rest of the season, I mean, what else is he gonna get? Li Mingwei is a piece of shit.

Re: Trade: Memphis and Oklahoma City
Remember Porn have up way less to get Ty Will from Brian.
I think folks get blinded by the names without looking at the true value for the actual team. Porn trading a random vet for a youngster is still way worse than a team that now concedes they should be rebuilding actually getting a nice prospect. It's not like I traded veterans back to him.

Re: Trade: Memphis and Oklahoma City
What does this matter?
Does anyone still give him a quality player like Mingwei? There's a big difference between a late 1st and a guy like Mingwei IMO

Re: Trade: Memphis and Oklahoma City
That's the thing though. He traded TWO useful players and a roll of the dice pick for ONE prospect.
