Re: Trade: Lexington and San Antonio
I credit SCDN here. He left the offer on the table pre-progression. I probably wouldn't have had the stones to do that.
I hate giving up Dre, but if you're going to reload, I thought I had to cash in the one chip I had left. Good luck to scdn the rest of the way. Even with the regression, you'll enjoy Dre.

Re: Trade: Lexington and San Antonio
A bit too much for Dre post progressions. I would have cut the deal down after that. Sandow is one of the best PG's in the league and he's young.

Re: Trade: Lexington and San Antonio
His regressions were, generally, minor, and some of them were to non-vital ratings to begin with so... he's still a top 3 player in this league, and assuming DC isn't rape-status for regressions, he will continue to be one of the highest impact players in the league.
That said, it's about time Tim rebuild. Not so much success the last couple years, may as well aim to get that top 5 pick.

Re: Trade: Lexington and San Antonio
Byers is still young at 27. I think he'll rebound in his ratings and still play above them. Ya gotta do what ya gotta to do to get a franchise big like Goulet says. I still have Opoku too and Daniels. And I'll have some cap space this year. Should have approximately $14M to spend if I choose too. I'll be worse off during the regular season, but in a better position for a title hopefully.

Re: Trade: Lexington and San Antonio
No way could I have pulled the trigger on this after Dre's regressions. I'm sure over the regular season he will perform fine, but that 6 P-O is going to hurt come playoff time. Not to mention his 2g% went down by 1 with regressions and there is no telling what kind of regressions that rating will face in TC.

Re: Trade: Lexington and San Antonio
His defense will help balance out the dip he took for his P-O, but he's not going to be the same beast on offense come playoff time. And what will one or two more round regressions do to him? Not really a good sign of things to come when he's taking such a hit at age 27.
