Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
Savvy move by the commish, seems pretty desperate for the Lakers.

Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
Who has Lakers 31?
JK. If Lakers landed a Weiland type player, things could get interesting. Until then, not so much. <---------- my message to Ken

Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
Bad deal for the Lakers... way too many picks for a declining Matechowski I think.

Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
Matechowski isn't quite the player he used to be, but he will presumably not be asked to do as much as he used to either next to Lance Prince and Detlef Landros. Rebounding still a major concern with this deal.

Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
Kenneth keeps trolling me about Finnegan, Yoruba etc
Maybe we should remind him of this. He sent Garcia, Fantas, AND 2 picks unprotected for Chowder Garcia was his stabilizing piece and Fantas was his wild card offensive bomber Throw in an extra 2 picks and this looks 100 times more absurd than anything I've done with Seacrest. Kenneth may have possibly sent 4 lotto picks to various teams ..... But alas Finnegan for Yoruba was worse.

Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
And before Kenneth spouts off about cap space which he will certainly do....
Note the most impactful year was when everyone purged to get caramel. Most guys have been resigning their better players, keeping guys via RFA and to bank on UFA is risky You still need something to build off of, meaning youth.... Not a roster full of 29+ guys.

Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
Also, don't know where Kenneth thinks he'll have cap space.
Katz's $14.5M guaranteed next season Prince's $16.0M guaranteed next season Matechowski's $25.28M is guaranteed next season Landros' $21.5M guaranteed next season. That's $77.28M in salary for those 4 players.

Re: Trade: LA Lakers and Utah
Katz is one of the most overpaid players in the league. What's Miyagi getting paid nowadays? Lmao. Katz a career 38% shooter. What a joke.
And that Chowski deal is horrible horrible as well. |
