Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
James unfortunately improved quite a bit after this trade was done...Still I needed a better PG, who can average more than 3ast/game. Then hopefully the 2031 pick shouldn`t be very good.

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
if you can keep that pick out of lottery in 2031 then its a good trade , but east is so competetive right now alot of things can change by 2031 tough.

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
That`s also why I made it 2 years from now. So instead of the 1st then I get Leifur Vilkinsson from this draft then.
If he only had 1 year he could have helped me to avoid lottery. ![]() But I hope for further improvements by Carter and Hightower.

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
Yea he's no more than a bench player. This was more about dumping Mickelbaum than anything. I was going to decline his option anyway but I got a first and a couple young bench players so why not.
Although the Cavs first probably won't be as good as I had hoped. Oh well. We both won on this trade really. Mickelbaum is still a high level PG even with his defense declining with age because of his high steal rating and low foul rate. |

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
Disagree on "High level"
He's startable and can shoot efficiently but doesnt shoot the three and his defensive 1-9s and TO rate isn't ideal.... He's worth a flyer if that's how it's seen though

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
14-8-3 with 3 SPG on close to 50% shooting is pretty high level for a PG if you ask me.
His numbers weren't as high last season, mostly because of me tinkering with my lineup like an idiot but that's been his averages in the past and I can see that continuing. |

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
Not saying he's an All Star or someone who will go out and win games for a team, or even a piece to build around, but to get that kind of steady play out of your PG is huge.

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
True, But he's regressed and still has TO issues
Upwards of 4 a game is an issue IMO depending on who else is in your lineup of course We are simply discussing adequate or high level. This is what happens when Kenneth disappears. We are resorted to discussing Milt Mickelbaum

Re: Trade: Boston and Cleveland
Lmao true. If you look at the season before last(too much lineup change last season)you'll see what he can truly do. He was forcing more turnovers than turning it over(although it was only .2) and was dropping 8.3 APG so I think he helped a lot more than he hurt.
But unfortunately his regressing is inevitable and he probably only has a couple more seasons of being a starter. |
