How are they selling out their future? Chris Love is 28 and Eddie Green is 31, and they got a 1st rounder BACK without giving any picks up. Not to mention they got the youngest player in the deal...am I missing something?

Re: Trade: Miami and Philadelphia

Severt doesn't suck he has a very nice ast-to ratio , and very low foul rate wich masks his madicore 1-9 D , hes been on all-d deffensive teams before in KVBL.

Severt would do wonders for the Nuggets.

Re: Trade: Miami and Philadelphia

I think that the upgrade in defense and steals that Love will bring to my team helps me more than the downgrade from Weiland to Green will hurt. Same should be true for the Heat the other way round. I don't mind the big foul rates as I have good backups and it probably helps to 'steal' some fouls from Mik and keep him on the floor, worked out quite good with Weiland too.

Re: Trade: Miami and Philadelphia

I don't think anyone "wins" this difinitively

Weiland is a rock in the low post but provides less offense than green...

And I'm not a severt fan either.

I think the loss of love and having McLean playing is too big of a hole for just weiland to fix on D

I prefer this for Philly in the sense that they sure up their defensive weakness in the back court and love is a nice AST/to guy himself albeit his 1-9s have dropped

I see the rationale for the trade so while I like this for Philly a bit more I like it for both as Smath hasn't had that low post defensive presence, but I still think he's gonna miss love here more than he appreciates weiland.

Re: Trade: Miami and Philadelphia

He will miss Love's steals, but in the process of losing that he's upgrading his rebounding and shotblocking. They are about equal in terms of impactful defensive 1-9's (Weiland vs Love). They won't miss Love's passing at all, Sergio is one of the single best passers in the league, he will easily pick up any slack that was created by losing Love.

Re: Trade: Miami and Philadelphia

Heat are the clear winner here. They got the most impactful player in the deal (Weiland).
