Weiland = Love, it has always been this way. Love is as much of an anchor on defense as Weiland is.

I like the fit a lot for Aero, Love/Black/Clay is a lot of fun. Just like Skyler/Weiland is a good fit. It's a good deal for both sides, and smath has two assets to move around too in Severt at that 1st.

Re: Trade: Miami and Philadelphia
I disagree with BJ on the premise that the EAST is based on bigs...
right now, stopping some of the EAST's wing scorers is a big deal....let alone Mack on the Bucks... the APERs of the guards in the East is much more a deal IMO than the bigs, let alone Centers. IMO shutting down a scoring guard/wing is a bigger deal in the KVBL right now than a big, as the days of a dominant Maynard/Xerxes/Byers are fading...and dont forget Xerxes isnt in the east (albeit Rafa is) I know Love is a PG, but IMO his defense could be a bigger deal for a team like the sixers than Weiland is to the heat. I really think we'll see this affect the Heat's defense in the East negatively since Love was playing a lot of SG against those scorers.

We've already seen what Love's defense can do for a team. Everyone gives McLean so much credit for winning the Heat those chips, but without Chris Love, the Heat are nothing.

Looking at the center position out East though, that's pretty terrifying. Victor Lord JR, Greg Hope, and Dmitriy Mikhailov are all guys that can single handedly win you a playoff series if you have a mediocre defender on them. Not to mention you have guys like Harrison Mahoney (just got some really nice progressions), DeSean Clay (nice progressions as well), Ken Akers, Maynard, etc. who you have to play multiple times a season (not to mention potentially in the playoffs). I'm not saying you don't need any defense at SG, you can say you need defense at every position and point to obvious reasons why. I just think that Weiland will play a bigger role, but at the very least I disagree that it's more of an advantage to have Love over Weiland in terms of an anchor. From my perspective I'd rather have Weiland, but at worst it's a wash.

Re: Trade: Miami and Philadelphia
Those guys do all play SF or SG but IMO loves defense is bigger deal being those scorers aren't post scorers.
That was my basic point. It's pretty much a difference in opinion on what type of defender you prefer but when the bulls and magic are repping the east is personally prefer a better defender outside than the post.... But that just me. Clearly you prefer post defense and that's a fair argument but from what we've seen VLJ has yet to carry his team all the way, and the others hve foul trouble so its a bit iffy because those bigs are inconsistent and have bouts where they foul out. I'm not sure how much a PG or SG impacts wing play at SF but being able to set a defender like Love to a certain spot has to be more important defensively than the post against their scorers. Again, it you're more concerned with having a guy like Weiland as an anchor instead of a guy like love it makes sense.... I'd just prefer the defensive guy to be love at this point (although weiland might hang on longer regression wise) We will see next season.... Neither possibility will really surprise me but for some reason I feel like this stabilizes Philly more and might create a problem for Miami
