They'll be facing off against each other twice at the Olympics (200 backstroke and 200 IM, I believe). And they'll be together for the relays. How do you guys see this shaping up? Will Phelps win and continue his dominance in the pool or is it Lochte's turn to shine?

It is July of an Olympic year. I'd say the time for "between Olympics" came to a stop around February, when I started seeing the first commercials cashing in on US patriotism.

I don't pay attention to it at all. Just the recent qualifying.

I didn't realize Lochte is the same age as Phelps. I originally thought Lochte won because Phelps lost a step (stroke?) due to age.

Disappointing finish with the relay. Lochte had a chance to win gold for the US but France came back to beat them in the final seconds much like the US did in Beijing in 2008.

They just showed it on NBC about half an hour ago (on tape delay, though). It was live way earlier today.

Ah that sucks, gonna have to watch that now.

I hope Phelps wins the next showdown though, was disappointing when he came in 4th.
